  • Growth: Rapid increase in consumer wealth in the Emerging Markets across Asia is driving up demand for consumer goods. Investing into consumer stocks has been a major theme in recent years.
  • Diversification: The Fund invested in stocks across the emerging markets in Asia. Stocks are selected from the Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples GICS sectors.
  • Earning Growth: Stocks must meet earnings growth criteria – at each semi-annual rebalance stocks must have positive 1-year earnings growth over the last fiscal year. This screen aims to improve the financial quality of the index constituents.
  • CONSUMER SECTORS: The Fund tracks the S&P Emerging Asia Consumer Index which is a selection of the 40 stocks belonging to the Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples GICS Sectors, listed in emerging markets across Asia.
  • Equal Sector Allocation: 20 Stocks are selected from each of the Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples GICS sectors. Each sector is then equally weighted at each semi-annual rebalancing. The recalibration back to a 50/50 split results in a natural contrarian and value play through the sale of the out-performing sector and purchase of the sector that has lagged.
